Millenderdale Wind Farm

About Millenderdale Wind Farm

Millenderdale Wind Farm will consist of 5 wind turbines, each up to a maximum blade tip height of 110m above ground level, and will have a combined installed capacity of up to 15MW.

The site is located at Millenderdale Farm and is approximately 6km south of Girvan and 4km to the east of Lendalfoot in South Ayrshire. As well as the turbines, there will be associated infrastructure including one permanent meteorological mast, a network of access tracks, borrow pits and a substation/welfare/control building.

Consultation was undertaken prior to the submission of the planning application with South Ayrshire Council and Local Community Councils. Two public exhibitions were also held at Lendalfoot Hall allowing the local community to engage with GreenPower and comment on the proposed final design and layout.

The planning application was submitted to South Ayrshire Council in June 2014 and revised in March 2016 to reduce the number of turbines from 7 to 5 and their height from 125m to 110m. Further envrionmental information was submitted in September 2017. The application is expected to go to committee in early 2019.
